Originally from Shelby, NC, I traversed many state lines as a child, getting to know different places. My biggest dream was to pursue the arts, but instead enlisted in the military to see more of the world. Upon separating from the USAF, I continued to hone my Information Technology skills via a series of contract jobs. Eventually, I joined the federal government as an IT Specialist, with responsibilities ranging from Program Management to Enterprise Architecture.
After a 20+ year career, I was forced to resign for health conditions exacerbated by a toxic environment. I am also the founder of a small IT company, H3 IT & Business Solutions. I hold a BS degree in Management Information Systems, studied at George Washington University, and hold numerous IT certifications.
I'm a proud mother of 3 stellar young men who share my love of creativity, curiosity, and innovation. I'm most passionate about showing young people they can defy stereotypes and rise above life's challenges. In renewed hopes of tackling the arts, I’m a registered member of ASCAP and have written many books, stories, and songs awaiting publishing.
